See how easy it is to integrate the Zeta Producer Online Shop module
After you purchased your own copy in our Shop and installed it on your system, you can instantly start to use it in your Zeta Producer web project.
Step 1 - Insert shopping basket page
The first step is to create a new page in your web project. Create the page at any place you like and call it "Basket". Later on, this page will contain the content of your customer's baskets. Usually you should make this page easily accessible so placing it right in the top level to make it appear in the main menu would be a good choice.
Next, change the file typ of the page to ".php" by right-clicking the page and opening the page properties dialog window. This is necessary to tell your web server that this is a page with dynamic content.
Step 2 - Insert the shopping basket

Next, right-click into the content area of the new basket page and select "Insert active object..." from the context menu. A dialog window appears. Select the category "Onlineshop" and in this category, click the object "Basket / Onlineshop configuration". Last, confirm by clicking the "OK" button. |
You have just inserted the central module of your web shop into your web project. When later being published to your web server, this page will contain the baskets of your online shop visitors. You'll use this object in Zeta Producer to configure your online shop quick and easily.
Step 3 - Configure the online web shop
By inserting the Active Object "Basket / Online shop configuration" to your project, you enabled it to host an online shop. After you inserted the object, a dialog box opens and allows you to configure the details of your web shop. Carefully inspect the options in this dialog box and gradually fill them with data. E.g. configure an E-mail-address where the orders will be mailed or configure the payment methods you are accepting. |

After you completed filling the configuration dialog box, close the dialog by clicking the "OK" button.
You're nearly done now configuring your online web shop.
Step 4 - Add an area for the online shop
The next step is to create an area where you can put all the articles you are selling through your online store.
Usually it is recommended to create a new page within Zeta Producer (which you can e.g. name "Online shop" or "Products") and make the page accessible directly through the main menu navigation.
On this page you can either directly insert as many articles as you like or you can create child pages for separate article categories and insert your articles to sell on these pages.
Step 5 - Insert articles to sell
After you created all pages where you want to offer articles, you can start to actually insert them on these pages.
To do this, select a page in Zeta Producer.
Next, right-click in the article area and select "Insert active object..." from the context menu.
In the opening dialog box, select the category "Online shop" and click the object "Product". Confirm by clicking the "OK" button.

A new dialog box opens, allowing you to enter the details of your article. Configure the article by filling all article releated data. I.e. you should enter an article description and a price, optionally you can select a product image to make the article look attractive to your visitors. After you filled out all the fields, close the dialog boy by clicking the "OK" button. |
If you now switch Zeta Producer to the integrated preview you can see how your articles will later on look to your customers. Of course, you can change all article details any time you like, e.g. changing the article price or fine-tuning the article's description. Simple switch back to the editing area and double click an article you would like to change. |

Your one last tiny step away from making your shop available to the public: Select "Publish" -> "Build and publish website (complete)" to let Zeta Producer transfer all necessary files to the web server.
